California Pot Roast

Recipe Description

Recipe Ingredients

3 lbs. Meat for pot roast
3 tablespoons salad oil
2 teaspoons salt
1 can (1lb) tomatoes
1 cup Catawba wine
1 package spaghetti sauce mix
¾ cup celery, finely chopped
¾ cup onion, finely chopped

Instructions

Using dutch oven, brown meat in oil. Sprinkle with salt. Pour wine and tomatoes over this. Add spaghetti sauce mix stirring until dissolved. Add celery and onion and simmer (slow heat) for about 2 ½ hours. Serves 6.
