Chocolate Frosted Squares

Recipe Description

Recipe Ingredients

½ cup margarine
1 cup sugar
4 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup sifted flour
1 can (1 pound) chocolate syrup

Instructions

Cream margarine and sugar, add eggs, one at a tome. Add rest of ingredients and pour into greased 10 X 15 jelly roll pan. Bake at 350° for one half hour. Frost while still hot. Frosting: 1 square unsweetened baking chocolate ½ cup sugar 1 tablespoon margarine 48 pecan halves to top squares ¾ cup cold water ½ teaspoon vanilla Dissolve cornstarch in water. Melt chocolate and add sugar, vanilla, margarine and cornstarch mixture. Stir over medium heat until thick. Pour on hot cake. Cool, cut into squares and p[ace pecan half on each square. Keep refrigerated; freezes well.
