Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

Recipe Ingredients
¾ cup butter or margarine, softened
1 cup brown sugar
½ cup granulated sugar
1 egg
1 ½ teaspoons vanilla
1 ½ cups flour
1 cup rolled oats
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
1 cup (6 oz) chocolate bits
1 cup nuts, chopped
Instructions
Cream together butter and sugars. Beat in egg and vanilla. Stir in remaining ingredients until well mixed. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart on greased baking sheets. Bake at 375° for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown. Makes about three and a half dozen cookies.
