Tuna Fish Salad Pie

Recipe Description

Recipe Ingredients

9 inch pie crust, unbaked
Make sure that the shell allows for a deep filing by using a deep pie pan
1 7 oz. Can tuna, drained
1 cup celery, finely chopped
¼ teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons grated onion
2 eggs, beaten
2 tablespoons green pepper, finely chopped
½ cup mayonnaise
1 tablespoon lemon juice
½ cup toasted bread crumbs
½ cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

Combine tuna, celery, salt, onion, eggs, green pepper, mayonnaise, lemon juice and all but 2 tablespoons of bread crumbs. Mix lightly. Turn into the unbaked pie shell. Sprinkle reserved bread crumbs and cheese. Place on cold metal cookie sheet and bake at 400° for 25 minutes until firm and brown.
